1. Overview of Saudi SASO Certification Technical Consulting Service:
SASO stands for Saudi Arabian Standards Organization. According to regulations from SASO and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), most consumer goods imported into Saudi Arabia must comply with the Product Conformity Program (PCP). Products must be verified to meet Saudi national standards and corresponding international standards, and obtain a certificate of conformity for smooth customs clearance.
Currently, our company can assist in obtaining the certificate of conformity through two methods:
2. Two Methods to Obtain Saudi SASO Certification through GTS:
A. Product Testing + Inspection
B. Product Testing + Inspection Exemption

A. Product Testing + Inspection Process: |

Step 1: |
Provide samples for testing and product documentation: Required documents: Test samples, test application form, product related documents (such as manual, circuit diagram, etc.), draft packing list, draft proforma invoice. |

Step 2: |
After passing sample testing, the third-party certification body will issue a test report compliant with SASO technical standards and arrange for a pre-shipment inspection. Inspection notes: The inspection is mainly visual, checking product packaging, labeling, etc. for compliance with Saudi standards. (Note: Product manuals, packaging, labels, warnings, etc. must be in Arabic. "Made In China" must be present.) |

Step 3: |
After inspection, provide final packing list, invoice, and bill of lading to the third-party certification body; the third-party body will issue the SASO clearance certificate based on the final documents. |

B. SASO Certification (Inspection Exemption) Process (except for mandatory products): |

Step 1: |
Provide samples for testing and product documentation: Required documents: Test application form, product related documents (such as manual, circuit diagram, etc.), draft packing list, draft proforma invoice, product photos (including nameplate photo). |

Step 2: |
After the above documents are approved, the third-party certification body will issue a test report compliant with SASO technical standards. |

Step 3: |
The exporter must provide the final bill of lading to the third-party certification body to issue the SASO clearance certificate. |
(1) Certification Cycle:
With complete documents (product passes testing without retesting, inspection time and complete stamped documents without issues) 7 working days for certification.
(2) Product Nameplate and Voltage Requirements:
Manufacturer:
Product name, model, applicant name or manufacturer name or factory name or trademark (choose one), MADE IN CHINA (this is very important and must be on the nameplate).
Saudi Arabia voltage requirements: 380/415V, frequency requirements: 50/60Hz.
(3) Nameplate Label Content Requirements (English and Arabic bilingual or Arabic only):

(4) Product Scope and Notes:
Check the product's HS code to see if it falls under mandatory products.
All consumer products exported to Saudi Arabia (which can be used by adults or children at home, office, or other leisure places) are defined as regulated products.
For example: household appliances, kitchen electric tools, jewelry, all motor vehicles and their accessories, all building materials including coatings and paints, etc. The current ICCP covers 5 categories and 66 products:
Category 1: Toys
Category 2: Electrical and electronic products
Category 3: Automotive products
Category 4: Chemical products
Category 5: Other products (10 product scopes)
Non-consumer products: medical instruments; medical products; food; military products.
