1. Introduction to OHSAS18001 Occupational Health and Safety Certification:
OHSAS18001 is an internationally recognized occupational health and safety management system standard. Along with management system standards like ISO9001 and ISO14001, it is considered a management method for the post-industrial era. OHSAS18001 is currently the only OHSAS standard available for third-party certification. This standard provides a structured operational mechanism for various organizations to help improve safety production management and promote occupational health, safety, and continuous improvement.
2. Requirements for OHSAS18001 Certification:
Must have the appropriate qualifications (such as business license, organization code, relevant national administrative approval qualifications or industry qualifications, safety production license, etc.), possess relevant facilities and resources, and be able to carry out business activities normally. Must be able to provide business activity records for more than three months.
For industries that have a significant impact on employees' occupational health and safety during construction and operation (such as some high-risk industries), there should be a safety evaluation report. Occupational health protection facilities should be configured according to the requirements of the evaluation report and accepted as qualified by the competent local authorities. There should be no recent occurrence of serious safety production accidents.
3. OHSAS18001 Certification Process:
Certification Consultation Phase:
After signing the contract, our company will send consultants to the enterprise to conduct research, determine the enterprise's certification intentions, help establish organizational structure and division of responsibilities, define the scope of the system, develop and improve the system documents required for certification, conduct relevant training for personnel, guide the operation according to the system documents, and assist the enterprise in applying for certification.
Certification Audit Phase:
Auditors from the certification body will visit the enterprise to inspect the activities within the certification scope according to the certification standards and the enterprise's system documents. The focus is on verifying the enterprise's situation and the preparation of certification documents and records. After the inspection, the results are reported to the certification body for issuing the certificate.
