| Category | Test Levels and Duration (t) for Voltage Sags (50Hz/60Hz) | ||||
| Class 1 | Performed sequentially according to equipment requirements | ||||
| Class 2 | 0% for 0.5 cycle | 0% for 1 cycle | 70% for 25/30 cycles | ||
| Class 3 | 0% for 0.5 cycle | 0% for 1 cycle | 40% for 10/12 cycles | 70% for 25/30 cycles | 80% for 250/300 cycles |

Note 1: "Class X" is defined by the relevant technical committee. For equipment directly or indirectly connected to the public network, the severity level must not be lower than Class 2 requirements. Note 2: "10/12 cycles" refers to "10 cycles for 50Hz tests" and "12 cycles for 60Hz tests". "25/30 cycles" refers to "25 cycles for 50Hz tests" and "30 cycles for 60Hz tests". "250/300 cycles" refers to "250 cycles for 50Hz tests" and "300 cycles for 60Hz tests". | |||||
Table 2 Preferred Test Levels and Durations for Short Interruption Tests
| Category | Test Levels and Duration (t) for Short Interruptions (50Hz/60Hz) |

| Class 2 | 0% for 250/300 cycles |
| Class 3 | 0% for 250/300 cycles |

| Note 1: "Class X" is defined by the relevant technical committee. For equipment directly or indirectly connected to the public network, the severity level must not be lower than Class 2 requirements. | |
Class 1: Applicable to protected power supplies with compatibility levels lower than those of public power systems. It involves the use of equipment that is very sensitive to power supply disturbances (e.g., laboratory instruments, certain automatic control and protection devices, computers, etc.). (Equipment installed in Class 1 environments requires protective devices such as uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), filters, or surge suppressors.)
Class 2: Generally applicable to public coupling points (PCC) in commercial environments and internal coupling points (IPC) in industrial environments. The compatibility level for this class is the same as that of public power systems. Therefore, components used in public systems are also applicable to this type of industrial environment.
Class 3: Applicable only to IPC in industrial environments. The compatibility levels for certain disturbance phenomena in this class are higher than those of Class 2. This type of environment is considered when connecting the following equipment: a. Most loads supplied via converters; b. Welding equipment; c. Large motors with frequent starting; d. Loads with rapid changes.
