Compared to conventional salt spray tests, the alternating cyclic salt spray test provides a more accurate assessment of a sample's actual corrosion state and is considered one of the most stringent types of salt spray tests. Conducting cyclic salt spray corrosion testing during the early development phase of metal components is crucial for effective corrosion control and significantly extends the service life of metal parts.
