1. Introduction to UV Aging Test:
Ultraviolet light causes photodegradation of durable materials exposed outdoors. The UV aging test simulates critical short-wave UV light, accurately reproducing the physical damage caused by sunlight. The UV aging test can replicate damage that would take months or years outdoors, including fading, chalking, discoloration, loss of gloss, cracking, embrittlement, hazing, strength reduction, and oxidation.
The UV aging test uses fluorescent UV lamps as the light source, simulating UV radiation and condensation from natural sunlight to conduct accelerated weathering tests on materials, thereby obtaining results on their weather resistance. It can simulate environmental conditions found in nature such as UV radiation, rain, high temperature, high humidity, condensation, and darkness. By recreating these conditions and combining them into a single cycle, the test automatically executes for a specified number of cycles.
